Earth hour is Back for the 4th year!
This year, residents and businesses are being asked to turn off the lights to mark the event on Sat March 27th from 8:30 – 9:30 pm.
Earth House began in Sydney, Australia in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off the lights for one hour.
The message grew in 2008 into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people, including Burlington residents, taking part. Last year, more hydro users in Burlington got the Earth Hour message than the year before.
According to Burlington Hydro, the city was able to reduce its total energy consumption by 8.8%, during last year’s Earth Hour!!
SO!! Will you participate this year and turn off the lights for one hour?

What is a deposit and what is a down payment?
The amount you put down with the purchase and sales contract is your deposit …. you may add more funds to that to total your down payment.
The sales price minus your down payment — leaves the amount that needs to be financed (mortgaged).
The deposit may be less than the total down payment..
Hope that helps.
